Reflexology

FOR HOLISTIC HEALING AND BALANCE

Overview

Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive, safe treatment suitable for all, regardless of your age or gender. It aims to balance all the Body’s Internal systems to encourage a state of “Homeostasis” (inner balance). The treatment encourages relaxation and relief from all manner of everyday ailments, conditions, and illnesses, such as Arthritis, Back and Skeletal pain, Digestive issues, Stress and Skin Concerns. While reflexology primarily focuses on improving the body's internal systems, its benefits can indirectly contribute to skin health in the following ways.

Stress Reduction

Reflexology is known for its ability to induce relaxation and reduce stress levels. High stress levels can negatively impact the skin by triggering inflammation, exacerbating skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis, and impairing the skin's natural healing process. By promoting relaxation, reflexology may help mitigate these stress-related skin issues.

Improved Circulation

Reflexology stimulates blood circulation throughout the body. Efficient blood flow is essential for delivering oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells, supporting their health and vitality. Improved circulation can contribute to a more radiant complexion and enhanced skin tone.

Detoxification

Through the stimulation of reflex points, reflexology helps enhance the body's natural detoxification processes. By promoting the elimination of toxins and waste products, reflexology indirectly supports skin health. Detoxification can assist in reducing skin congestion, promoting a clearer complexion, and preventing the buildup of impurities that can contribute to various skin problems.

Enhanced Relaxation

Reflexology triggers the body's relaxation response, which can have positive effects on the skin. When we are relaxed, our body produces less stress hormones like cortisol. Excessive cortisol levels can disrupt collagen production, impair skin barrier function, and increase the risk of skin issues. By promoting relaxation, reflexology may help maintain healthier skin.

Key Info

While reflexology can contribute to overall wellbeing and indirectly support skin health, it is important to note that it should not be used as a replacement for medical treatment or skincare routines. If you have specific skin concerns, it is advisable to consult with a dermatologist or skincare professional for proper evaluation and advice.

Reflexology is a type of massage that involves applying direct pressure to the feet or hands. It’s based on a theory that the feet are energetically connected to certain organs and body systems. Those who practice these techniques are called Reflexologists, and we work specifically on the feet to benefit health.
